This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Canyon models with this engine can tow up to 7,700 pounds. You can also opt for the available 2.8-liter Turbo-Diesel I-4 engine that produces 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Canyon models with a diesel engine are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and can tow up to 7,700 pounds. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the Canyon, while four-wheel drive is available on all trims.
